Sex and Love | Ancient Inventions | Discovery Channel

In this programme, Terry Jones focuses on inventions related to sex and love. Foundation make-up was first worn in Ancient Egypt, not to enhance beauty but to protect labourers constructing the pyramids from developing tans which would give their lowly profession away.  And the mechanical clock was not invented to tell the time, but to keep track of a Chinese emperor’s sex life.

I made my TV acting debut in this programme. I’m in here somewhere, dressed up as naughty nun going to collect a herbal abortifacient from Abbess Hildegaard of Bingen.
