2008

When Bangladesh went to the polls in December 2008, it was the first parliamentary election for seven years. But for one group of people, the Biharis, it was even more significant. Amanda goes to Geneva Camp, Dhaka, to report on their extraordinary story and their fight for full citizenship. She follows Hasan, one of the key campaigners in the legal battle to win the vote for the Bihari people, and Shamim, a chef, in the lead up to the most important election campaign of their lives. Amanda produced and directed the film.

"The thing I like best about this film is the presenter. Pure goodness. Thank you BBC." - Viewer comment on BBC website
